Barde, & se trouve à Paris, chez Moutard, Mérigot, 1785-1786. 10 vol. in-8, contemporary mottled havana calf, 5-rib spine, havana title-piece, stamped tomaison, ornate caissons, marbled edges (flaws including worn headpieces and dull corners; minor browning and stains). First edition of this new translation by Pierre Le Tourneur based on the author's revised edition. It is illustrated with a copper-engraved portrait of Richardson after Pujos, and 21 plates drawn and engraved by Chodowiecki. Provenance: Madame de Millières Du Châtel, 18th c.
