1. MONTAIGNE. Essays by Michel seigneur de Montaigne. Edition Stereotype d'après le procédé de Firmin Didot. A Paris, de l'impr. et de la fonderie stéréotypes de Pierre Didot l'aîné et de Firmin Didot 1802. Frontispiece portrait engraved by St-Aubin. 4 vol. in-12, post-production mahogany half-basin, decorated spines, gilt titles and tomaisons, marbled edges (spines faded).
2. CORNELIUS NEPOS. Cornelii Nepotis Vitae excellentium imperatorum. Editio stereotypa. Parisiis, excudebam Petrus Didot, anno VII (1799). In-12, Parisiis, [4]-150 pp. Contemporary long-grained red morocco, smooth ornate spine, gilt framed roulettes on boards, spines and edges, gilt edges (some rubbing and water marks on lower board, small ink stain on edge of last few pages). One of Didot's finest stereotype impressions. Copy in large vellum paper. Old annot. on one endpaper.
3. BOILEAU. OEuvres de Boileau Despréaux. Edition Stereotype d'après le procédé de Firmin Didot. A Paris, de l'impr. et de la fonderie stéréotypes de Pierre Didot l'aîné et de Firmin Didot. An VII (1800). 2 vol. in-12, XXIII-322-[1] + 330-[1] pp. Long-grained red morocco, smooth spines decorated with gilt fillets bearing the words "Ed. stéréotype" at the foot, gilt titles, cold fillets and small gilt angular fleurons on the boards, guilloche-covered edges, gilt edges (spine a little rubbed). Fine copy in large vellum paper. Catalog at the end of each vol.

A Paris, de l'impr. et de la fonderie stéréotypes de Pierre Didot l'aîné et de Firmin Didot. 1811. 2 vols. in-12, [4]-XIV-[2]-212-[1] + 236-[1] pp. Period red long-grained half-maroquin, ornate smooth spines, gilt titles and tomaisons. Ex. in large wove paper.
5. CHAULIEU: Poésies de Chaulieu [Suivi de Poésies choisies du marquis de La Fare]. Paris, Stéréotype d'Herhan (Se vend à Paris chez Antoine-Augustin Renouard), An XI - 1803. In-12, XXIV-299-57 pp. Brown half-basane, smooth spine decorated, gilt title, yellow edges. (Corners rubbed, one spine split with wormhole, small corner wetness.) Interlined copy on large Essonne fine paper printed on 372 plates. Thermidor an XI.

In-12, XIV-198-[1] pages. Green half-maroquin with small corners, ornate spine with false-nerves, gilt title. (Damage to head cover, 2 corners rubbed). A very good copy in large vellum paper, with full margins.

P., Renouard, 1817. 2 works in 1 vol. in-18, 329-[1]-[8]-XV-X-98 pp. post-brown half calf, smooth spine decorated with gilt and cold-stamped fillets, blond title page, speckled edges. The first part of the Mémoires, whose authenticity was not recognized by the author's family, is published here for the first time by Renouard (Brunet III, 843).
