TRILLER (Daniel Wilhelm). Opuscula medica ac medico philologica... Francofurti et Lipsiae, sumpt. J. G. Fleischer, 1766-1772. Three volumes in one large in-4, XLVI p., [1] f., 568 p. ; [7] f., 352 p., [9] f. ; XXXI-362 p., [7] f., contemporary glazed havana calf, 5-ribbed spine, green title-piece, grotesquely ornamented caissons, gilt roulettes on sides, edges and front cover, marbled edges (defects including cracked jaws, dull corners, sustained stains on sides; ordinary browning, a few small halos in margins, worm tracery in margins of very first f., tears restored p.5-8 of part 3). Collective edition of the works of D. W. Triller (1695-1782), once personal physician to the Prince of Nassau-Usingen, who taught medicine in Wittenberg. Edited by the author, it was compiled by Carl Christian Krause, a physician who taught anatomy and surgery in Leipzig. It is unusual to find all three parts together. Provenance: "Ex Bibliotheca D. de Villiers" (?; handwritten bookplate on endpaper); Pierre Vidal, médecin, (ex-libris typogr. XVIIIe c.); 19th c. armorial drystamp on title.
