[VAN MAËLE (Maurice François Alfred Martin dit Martin)]. De sceleribus et criminibus. S.l., s.n., [1908]. In-4, contemporary Bradel-style red half-maroquin with corners, spines decorated with large fleurons and fillets, all gilt, gilt title, gilt head, mounted on tabs (lightly rubbed edges and corners; browning).
Very rare suite of 10 free etchings by Martin Van Maële (1 title-frontispiece and 9 plates), printed on wove paper.
An exceptional copy with 10 original graphite sketches mounted on strong card. Three of these drawings are inverted in relation to the engraving and could be considered preparatory sketches. Three drawings have titles in the margin or in the figure that are not included in the engravings.
