Rare first edition of this pamphlet recounting the crimes, pillage, sacrileges and rapes perpetrated by the troops of Baron d'Erlach, whom the Grand Condé sent to Champagne in 1649 to counter the threat posed to eastern France by the Spaniards of the Low Countries, allies of the Frondeurs. The work consists of three letters dated May 3, 6 and 7, the second signed d'Alincourt and the third Gervaise. The leaves are generally well preserved, despite slight tears on one edge. The title page has a hole below the date.
