Fairly fresh inside, a few rare foxing marks in the margins, not missing. Map of the Siege of Fribourg torn and repaired with adhesive tape. Head covers of all four volumes and tail cover of first volume heavily rubbed, if not worn away (head cover of second volume almost worn away). Chases and spines rubbed. Corners dull. Epidermal marks: on covers of first volume (head cover of first volume and gutter cover of second volume), second volume (tail covers of covers), third and fourth volumes. Wormholes at head of third volume.
