Collection of color engravings from the first illustrated fashion journals, dating from the early 19th century. It covers the periods from 1825 to 1828 and 1833 to 1841. It includes engravings from Le Petit Courrier des Dames and the Costumes Parisiens series, with descriptions of the outfits in the captions to each engraving.

Over 1,500 color engravings in 7 volumes.
Some binding defects (spines sunned, corners dulled, jaws split on 2 volumes, lower headband off on 1 volume, leaves and spine loose on last volume). Rare light foxing on paper. Fresh interior. A very fine set.
