Beige vellum. 66 pages, leaves 5, 57, 58 and 63 missing. Cover quite faded, book slightly faded, wetness at head. Text in Latin. First separate edition of this treatise by Oronce Fine (1494-1555), originally part of the Protomathesis, a course in pure and applied mathematics, first published in 1532. Contains examples of operations, reflecting the state of 16th-century mathematics. Interesting 16th-century copy.
