Two volumes of this work by Jean-Baptiste Borsieri de Kanifeld (1725-1785) translated by Paul-Emile Chauffard (1823-1879) and accompanied by his "Etude comparée du génie antique et de l'idée moderne en médecine". The first volume deals with fevers, the second with febrile exanthematic diseases. Set in beautifully crafted blue bindings. Good overall condition. Some dull corners; binding remains solid.
