Porcelain mug and saucer decorated in grisaille with portraits of Napoleon I and Marie-Louise, zoomorphic handle with griffin head.
The saucer, decorated in grisaille, features a series of verses to the glory of the Emperor, set in cartouches that together form the cross of the Legion of Honor.
On the reverse, the inscription: "Ces portraits ont été dessinés, gravés et imprimés par Gonord, avec le procédé physique de son invention; l'auteur des vers est Monsieur Belle ainé, rédacteur au Ministère de la Guerre".
