CIMAROSA, Domenico and BERTATI, Giovani. The secret wedding. Opéra-bouffe in 2 acts and 5 tableaux. Published in Verrières by Les fils de Julien Sorel in 1922. In octavo / In-8 paperback. 92 pages. Spine yellowed and blind. Small accident without missing at tail. Cover edges discolored in places. First edition of this translation of Bertati's libretto by Daniel Muller, printed on pur chiffon (watermarked), for a 1921 staging by Louis Masson with Maurice Frigara as conductor. On the title page, a handsome autograph letter from Daniel Muller to the literary critic "A mon condisciple Albert Thibaudet en souvenir de Stendhal", followed by a musical stave from Le Mariage secret. Uncommon, a fortiori with this provenance.
