Published in Rome by Clemente Puccinelli in 1845, in folio format (53 by 40 cm). Green half-basin, cold-stamped spine with false nerves, decorated with gilded fleurons. (1 f.)+X+VII+L pages. Edges and covers rubbed, some foxing. Beautiful architectural work with 50 full-page etchings, reproducing the carved wooden heart of St. Peter's Basilica in Perugia, Italy. It is the work of Stefano da Bergamo, based on a drawing by Raphael, and features an attractive lithograph on the title page showing the monastery as it was in the 16th century.
