Binding slightly rubbed on the second cover, scattered brown spots and small snags on the fold-out maps. Second edition of this travelogue, illustrated by Auguste Raffet (1804-1860), diplomat Anatole Demidoff's travel companion on his journey through southern Russia. A fine copy, both in terms of format and the quality of the illustrations.
