In-8, bound in brown half-chagrin with corners, spine ribbed, gilt headband, boards grained (Defody). 2 ff.n.ch., 492 pp. Untrimmed, corners rubbed, tiny lack on head cover. First edition of this novel about a young Tuscan woman (Vicaire, IV,1015). This work was later included in volume 21 of Lamartine's "Cours Familier de Littérature", published to pay off debts. Annotations in graphite on the title page. A nicely bound copy, clean inside.
