Spine decorated with gilt title, two large, richly crafted silver clasps extending across the boards, gilt roulette on the covers, gilt fillet on the edges, guilloche-trimmed headpieces, gilt edges. In black wrappers, slightly rubbed at corners. 584 pages, frontispiece and engravings framing the text. Text in French, on two columns for certain passages. A fine copy of the Roman Missal N°154, with the texts and ritual and musical indications necessary for the celebration of Mass by the priest according to the Roman rite. Ex-libris and handwritten notes dating from the end of the 19th century on the first leaves and on the pages devoted to thoughts and memories. Beautiful binding, well preserved.
