Spine with handwritten title. (4 f.)+184+(19 f.) and (3 f.)+349+(10 f.) pages. Text in Latin. Binding a little soiled. Joints split in places. Very good condition of this volume compiling two titles by Hermann Boerhaave (1668-1738), the famous Dutch physician. The first title is a compilation of medicinal recipes. The aphorisms are a tribute to Hippocrates. They cover a wide range of subjects (rabies, cancer, rheumatism, catalepsy...). With handwritten bookplate. Beautiful contemporary binding, a pleasant copy.
