Red half-basane, spine ribbed with gilt fillets, yellow edges. T1 466 p.; T2 p. 467 to 940. 467 to 940. Freckles on interiors. Extensive treatise on general physiology in two volumes. Isidore Bourdon (1796-1861) was a French physician known for his many important works and discoveries. He was entrusted with official missions during the cholera epidemics and became the epidemic physician for the Seine department. A good, nicely bound copy.
