Interesting criminological study translated by Dr. Chatelain, in which Krafft-Ebing argues for the attribution of extenuating circumstances when judging people suffering from psychiatric disorders. Richard von Krafft-Ebing, an Austrian psychiatrist, is considered the father of sexology. Among other things, he first introduced the terms "sadism" and "masochism" in his Psychopathia Sexualis (1886). A good copy of this major study in its field.
