MOREAU, François-Joseph. Traité Pratique des Accouchemens, published in Paris by Germer Baillière in 1838, two volumes, In-8 format, half beige basane, spine gilt-stamped, gilt fillet. Cold-stamped ribbed spine, underlined by gilt fillet. XIV+562 and 500 pages. Some foxing, spine faded, otherwise good condition and fairly fresh inside. The author of this treatise, François-Joseph Moreau (1789-1862), was embalmer to King Louis XVIII and surgeon to Charles X, as well as physician to Queen Marie-Amélie of Bourbon Sicily, delivering the Crown's children in 1830.
