[1883] In-8 format, red half-basane, smooth spine decorated with gilt fillets. 508 pages and 8 plates. Treatise on prostitution at the end of the 19th century. Includes considerations on pimps, clients, the habits of "filles de maisons" and male prostitution. Eight plates outside the text show daily scenes and "deviant" sexual practices; these images led to the author being sentenced to 15 days in prison. A good copy, complete with all plates. Attached: two pages of anonymous handwritten notes.
