A large number of plates depict the various stages of an operation, successively thyroid graft, ovarian graft and finally "extra-vaginal testicular graft". Serge Voronoff (1866-1951) remains famous in the history of surgery for his transplants of monkey testicles on human beings, or more precisely of endoctrine glands, women also being concerned by his transplants of primate ovaries.
