Fawn granite calf, double gilt horizontal fillets on spine, two black morocco title-pieces, gilt small-ink ornamented caissons, triple fillets framing the boards, gilt roulette on edges, guilloche-trimmed headpieces, blue pebbled edges. 10 ff.n.ch., 324 pages, 2 ff.n.ch., engraved title page. Small split to first plate at feet, corners slightly dulled, tear without damage to text p.225. Edition for the year 1787 of the Almanach des muses, in which were published, among others, poems by Voltaire, Marmontel, Pons de Verdun and Verninac de Saint-Maur. A pleasant, fairly fresh copy in a good binding.
