A square in-8 paperback volume, pink filled cover, long title on smooth spine, each plate illustrated by Georges Braun with a separate work in sepia, first plate titled in blue. 176 pp. 3 ff. (table, printer's proof), numerous sepia illustrations by Georges Braun, including 2 hors-texte, a title vignette, numerous headbands and tailpieces. Spine slightly rubbed. Interior intact, largely uncut. Luxurious reprint of this collection of poems published in 1905 (Paris, Mercure de France) by Lorraine poet Charles Guérin (1873-1907), carefully printed in italics and illustrated with sepia drawings by Georges Braun. Fourteenth book in the "L'Amour des livres" collection, limited edition of 1,050 copies, this one of the first 50 on Japanese imperial paper, reserved for Monsieur Guérin "with the best sentiments of the publisher, René Kieffer". The author's personal copy in very fine condition. - L'Homme intérieur (1801-1905). Paris, Mercure de France, 1905. One in-8 paperback volume, yellow cover printed in black on front cover and spine (front cover warped, spine rubbed, seams loose on a few leaves). In beige hardback dust jacket inscribed "Ancienne Librairie E. Flammarion et A. Vaillant, Ernest Martin" in gold lettering on the front cover and illustrated with the Lubin Enigma perfume advertisement in gold and color on the back cover (dust jacket damaged, tears on spine). 186 pp. 1 f. (completed printing). First edition of the last collection published by Charles Guérin (1873-1907), enriched on the title with a touching autograph letter signed by the author: "à ma sœur Clo, bien affectueusement". It includes the invitation card (16x11cm) to the ceremonies organized in Lunéville on May 11, 1957 to commemorate the poet Charles Guérin on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of his death. - Le Cœur Solitaire, revised and expanded edition of several poems. Paris, Mercure de France, 1904. In-8 paperback, 191 pp. with yellow cover titled in black on front cover and spine. Folded, laced dust jacket from Flammarion et Vaillant (dust jacket worn). Partly original edition. A good copy with a signed autograph letter from the author "to Clo, his affectionate brother" on the title page. A fine set of works by the Lorraine poet Charles Guérin, author of a lyrical body of work at the crossroads of Symbolism and Parnassus. Provenance: Charles Guérin by descent.
