John Grant (1781-1810), England, London. Mechanical movement, domed white enameled dial, Roman numerals for the hours, Arabic numerals for the minutes, ribbon hour markers, hands missing, balance cock with heel, openwork with crossed decorations (traces of pewter in the center) underlined by pattern decorations on the plate, verge escapement, vase-type square-section chain and spindle pillars. Diameter: 3.5 cm. Work of the 18th century. A few watches by this watchmaker, who did not have much time himself, are preserved in the British Museum. (Condition of use)
