Crest mask depicting a head with a headdress stretched backwards, at the edge of which small holes can be seen to fix a head of hair. The large, wide-open eyes are completely surrounded by a bead. The mouth is half-open.
The exceptionally old wooden mask is covered with a thick crusty patina.

This mask exudes great intensity. Stylistic elements such as the treatment of the eyes and the quality of the headdress allow us to associate it with the famous kingdom of Kom, renowned for its artistic aura and the masterpieces that emerged from its master sculptors' workshops.
