Mahogany chest of drawers with a central recessed panel, featuring three drawers in two rows without a crossbar. The rounded side panels rest on curved legs. Stamped “L. PERIDIEZ” and bearing the hallmark of the Carpenters’ and Cabinetmakers’ Guild. Louis XV–Louis XVI transitional period. Alep breccia marble top with an added inverted covet. 83 × 96 × 50 cm. (Replaced lock, one pull ring, and replaced trim pieces; slight old woodworm damage, scratches, and small chips) Louis Péridiez was admitted as a master cabinetmaker in Paris on April 17, 1764.
