[DROIT] DENISART, Jean-Baptiste. Collection de décisions nou - Lot 40
[DROIT] DENISART, Jean-Baptiste. Collection de décisions nouvelles et de notions relatives à la jurisprudence actuelle. Paris, Desaint, 1768. 3 volumes, in-4, full marbled calf, ribbed spines decorated in gilt with central gilt fleurons, red edges. VIII - 557 ; 408 ; 410 pages. Engraved bands in black. Slight wear to boards, lower corners dulled, some foxing. Sixth edition, corrected and enlarged, of this collection of jurisprudence decisions, preceded by a dictionary of legal concepts, by Jean-Baptiste Denisart, procureur au Grand Châtelet de Paris. Extraordinary document on all rulings handed down by Parliaments, Grand Jours, councils and all courts of justice in the kingdom, on all questions of law. Until the mid-18th century, collections of rulings lacked method and organization in their thematic or chronological classification. Under the influence of the encyclopedists, Denisart, following in Brillon's footsteps, opted for an alphabetical organization, offering a more complete and detailed presentation of rulings. In very good condition, inside very fresh.
