Anatomical study in Latin by Juan Valverde de Amusco, a 16th-century Spanish physician best known for his monumental illustrated anatomical treatise published in Rome in 1556. Also bound is the first edition of "De nutrimentis" (Paris, Robert Estienne, 1550), a Latin treatise by physician Charles Estienne describing numerous foods. In contemporary binding. Very rare.
