Paris, chez Barbou, 1776. 1 volume in-8, brown calf, smooth spine grotesquely decorated, framing garland to covers, polychrome plate in relief with arabesque decoration pasted to first cover, gilt edges. XLII+(3)+292+(5, table) pages, portrait-frontispiece by Cathelin. Joints split. Edition on laid paper of these poems with commentary by Anne-Gabriel Meusnier de Querlon (1702-1780). Copy in a contemporary binding with a decorative plate on the first cover reproducing a Celtic ornamental motif from a 16th-century Lyonnaise binding. Monogrammed "E M" in the center. An astonishingly fresh binding.
