* Émile GALLÉ (1846-1904). Tanniferous earthenware tumbler with painted polychrome enamel decoration of a bird and a hen on flowering branches and a butterfly. The design is characteristic of Japonism, much appreciated by Émile GALLÉ. Handwritten signature painted and enameled on the reverse, E. Gallé in red. Circa 1879-1889. H. 9.5 cm. (Minor cracks in the enamel).
