* Émile GALLÉ (1846-1904). - Lot 57
* Émile GALLÉ (1846-1904). Rocaille-style decorative tray on a heel in tin-glazed earthenware with enameled pink cameo decoration and a naturalistic scene in shades of gray, probably featuring a moorhen and insects near a pond, including a tan. Handwritten signature painted on the reverse, Saint Clément, circa 1880. A perfect synthesis of Émile Gallé's youth: naturalistic decor with the beginnings of Japonism in the Rocaille form of the St Clément molds. D. 22 × 35 cm. (A small firing crack and a tiny enamel skip).
