Several notebooks and handwritten collections written by women during the Revolution are known. Often conceived as poetry to be read in a private circle, they opened up a space for expression that was both authorized and strategic, enabling women at the time to exercise their intellectual inventiveness. Rarely did they include plays.9999999999999
