Small paper loss at the lower corner of the half-title page, which is stained along the lower margin; browned edges; some foxing. First edition of this verse drama, a perfect illustration of the Romantic theme of the courtesan redeemed by love. A working copy that likely belonged to a director or actor of the time, containing a few annotations in ink and red pencil. Good later binding.
