HALÉVY, Daniel. Signed, handwritten letter-card addressed to - Lot 168
HALÉVY, Daniel. Signed, handwritten letter-card addressed to Henri Buriot-Darsiles. Regarding *Quelques nouveaux Maîtres*, to be published in *Cahiers du Centre*. 1 page, in-12 format (144 x 112 mm), with address and postmarks on the reverse. Paris, April 28, 1914. Letter to his publisher, Buriot-Darsiles (1875–1944), editor of *Cahiers du Centre*, a regionalist journal founded in 1908 in Moulins. Daniel Halévy (1872–1962) is concerned about the cover of his upcoming publication: “Do you have any ideas for the cover? Are you particularly fond of the soft green that was used for my *Proudhon*? The gray cover of *Les Trois robes distinguées* would suit me quite well, with a typeface that’s less old-fashioned”… He mentions *Quelques nouveaux Maîtres*, which was published in 1914 and does indeed feature a gray cover.
