Folio size, loose-leaf format arranged in a double circle, with a flexible transparent plastic cover and a publisher’s slipcase featuring a magnetic closure with the title on the spine and adorned on the front cover with a composition by Longobardi. Unpaginated. The front cover of the slipcase is slightly soiled and loose (without its magnetic closure). A book-object adorned with original, geometric, and colorful linocuts by Xavier Longobardi (1923–2010), which illustrate this essay in which physicist Louis de Broglie (1892–1987) reflects on the limits of scientific knowledge. Limited edition of 140 numbered copies on Arches vellum; this copy is No. 33, inscribed to Jean-Marie Lépargneur. In good condition.
