[REVOLUTION - PARIS]. Demolition of the Bastille - Color eng - Lot 268
[REVOLUTION - PARIS]. Demolition of the Bastille - Color engraving.
No place [Paris], no publisher, no date [c. 1789–1790].
Etching (30 x 46 cm) hand-colored and mounted on a white Marie-Louise mount (50 x 65 cm).
The paper is slightly browned, and the Marie-Louise has some slight curling.
This revolutionary print depicts Parisians demolishing the Bastille prison in the first few days following its storming.
A delightful historical engraving.
