[circa 1912] Quarto-sized booklet, sand-embossed paper board bound with cord, front cover decorated with a central medallion featuring a pasted-in color vignette. 10 unnumbered folios on coated paper, 7 large inset photographs, 4 color compositions mounted on heavy-weight paper as inserts, several black-and-yellow vignettes within the text. Cover slightly frayed with faint black marks; cord frayed. Superb promotional booklet printed by Draeger for the furriers Leroy and Schmid, illustrated with 7 large photographs by Brissy and Félix, showing models from the collection. They are accompanied by 4 large color illustrations (26 x 17 cm) by the finest artists of the era—Charles Martin, Drian, Barbier, and René Vincent—elegantly depicting the models from the collection and the various furs worn in the 18th century. The texts, illustrated with black-and-white and color headers and vignettes, include: “The Fur Connoisseur” by M. Boulanger, “Winter Fauna” by H.V., and “Fur and 18th-Century Portraits” by an anonymous author. A beautiful copy, complete with its plates in excellent condition.
