Unpublished typewritten study on milk production and sales in the Loiret department, written in 1923 by Raoul Lecoq (1892–1980), Doctor of Pharmacy, Bachelor of Science, and former resident physician at the Paris hospitals. The author discusses the geography of the Loiret (Beauce, Gâtinais, Sologne, Val de Loire), milk hygiene, collection routes, pasteurization, refrigeration, transportation to Parisian dairy processing plants, and the economic challenges facing local producers. The book is illustrated with 14 authentic period photographs showing different breeds of cows, each with an explanatory caption; a color map of the region; a leaflet from the General Confederation of Milk Producers; as well as numerous diagrams, charts, graphs, and plans. The title page bears a signed autograph dedication by the author: “To my brother, with much affection.” Raoul Lecoq had been honored by the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Pharmaceutical Society, and the Loiret General Council. A pharmacist at the Saint-Germain-en-Laye Hospital, Raoul Lecoq was also known for his career as a playwright under the pseudonym Lucien Dabril. He is notably the author of *Le Marchand de bobards*, which was partially broadcast on the Eiffel Tower radio station, and of *Mon oncle et mon curé*, which had more than four thousand performances worldwide. A neat and perfectly prepared typescript.
